Hi, my name is Kyla and I am a Personal Trainer from Vancouver, Canada.
There are many Personal Trainers out there that take different approaches to getting their clients to their goals. I personally like to focus on Science and sustainability, meaning I don’t just help clients get to short term goals but sustain their results for the long run. Fitness should never feel like a chore, but a time that you are taking out of your day for you to look after your health.
I work with a wide range of client goals starting from fat loss, sport specific goals and rehabilitation/injury recovery. No matter what the goal is my approach is always the same; I believe that movements and exercise are completely neutral tools to be used in the right way, by the right person, at the right time.
With all client goals I always provide a customized meal plan. The impact that proper nutrition has on your goals is an at utmost importance and can be one of the most efficient tools we use. Having a plan built just for you is an essential aspect for creating a healthy relationship with fitness. That being said you will never get a meal plan from me built on 1200 calories a day. Every plan focuses on nutrients dense foods to make sure we start our fitness journey together with a healthy gut and a high energy level, with a side of you eating what you like in moderation. My client results are proof of nutrition importance, I’ve had clients drop 10-15lbs over 3-5 weeks by not even changing the food they’re eating but by rearranging when they eat what. Knowledge is power when it comes to nutrition so let me give you the tools you need to make sure you are on top of your gut health therefore optimizing your results.
When we train in the gym together my focus is to teach you as much as possible so you not only learn about your body but understand why we do what we do, and how to properly progress your program going forward. Having a personal trainer can ensure you feel comfortable training when you’re together in a gym, while training with me ensures you can be confident on your own by giving you the knowledge you need to always be ready for the challenges of working out.
My passion for fitness has given me the ability to work in a job where I teach individuals how to love their bodies/ enjoy living a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I love every aspect of being a Personal Trainer.
